Courage+ Board of Directors First Annual Strategic Planning Session |
Our board held their first annual strategic planning meeting this month. Board members spent a Saturday identifying their strengths and weaknesses, collaboratively outlining their plan and strategic goals for 2026. This plan includes the creation of three new committees, a board of directors' mission statement, and a board recruitment planning guide. This day of planning has left our entire organization buzzing and refreshed with new excitement for the year ahead. Our board’s commitment to supporting and improving Courage+ is truly incredible, and we are looking forward to an amazing year with their direction, plan, and vision in motion. |
Happening in Milwaukee:
Admirals Pride Night Game |
Courage+ was honored to be a featured community organization at the Milwaukee Admirals’ 2026 Pride Night game. The Ads’ commitment to providing a safe, inclusive space for all is more important now than ever. In a world and industry where choosing to be a loud and proud advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals is often avoided, we are incredibly proud of our hometown team for their commitment to showing love and support for the LGBTQ+ community. In the words of our Director of Development, Chris, “We tell our kids all the time: you are loved and you are supported. Look at what the Admirals are doing for you today!”

An Exciting Programming Collaboration, from the desk of Alisha Hart
We’re so excited to share that Courage+ is partnering with Ellie Mental Health to provide in-house therapy for our residents.
This partnership means easier access to mental health support, familiar faces, and care that meets our youth right where they are. At home. Because healing should feel safe, affirming, and supported always.
Thank you, Ellie Mental Health, for your continued partnership and care. |
Intern Call!
School will be out for the summer, but that doesn’t mean education stops. We’re hiring interns! If you or someone you know is currently studying marketing, communications, or a related field, we’d love to have you on our team this summer. We’re seeking 2-3 part-time interns for a summer program focused on marketing and strategy for Pride month and beyond, with an emphasis on program education and youth outreach.
Interested? Send your resume and cover letter to our Operations & Impact Manager, Hazel, at hazel@courageplus.org. |
